• Download this file
• Extract the contents somewhere convenient.
• SSH into your iPhone through WinSCP or cyberduck.
• Navigate to the /System/Library/PrivateFramework/Celestial.framework/ folder.
• Locate the file RegionalVolumeLimits.plist and rename it to RegionalVolumeLimits.bak.
• Copy over the RegionalVolumeLimits.plist file you extracted in step 2 to the iPhone's /System/Library/PrivateFramework/Celestial.framework folder
• Set permissions to the RegionalVolumeLimits.plist to 0777.
• Reboot the iPhone.
• Dance.

I'll admit, Super Macro Your Cell Phone Camera With A DVD Lens is one weird title.

However, if you just moved to a blu ray DVD player and you're looking for some good use for your old DVD, cnflikt (who also took the shots for this tutorial) came up with a hack to enable you to take super macro shots with your cellphone. Of course you'll need a camera phone for that. cnflikt uses the notorious, yet old-skooled K800i, but any camera phone will work here.

1. Lensectomy Your old DVD Player

First thing is to get a lens for your camera phone. Make sure your old DVD player is not connected to power. Then take the screws off. This is a great way to void your warranty. It is also dangerous and you should really never do this.

Anyhow, if you went against my advice, you'll find the lens under the place where the disk goes. Take it out.

2. Prepare A Lens Mount

Ok, I'm only kidding on this one. You don't really need a lens mount, you can use duct tape if you wanna go really ghetto or mount it on some cardboard.

If you opt for the cardboard option, just make a round hole in the cardboard.

3. Mount Your Lens

Just use some duct tape (as indicated before) to mount your lens directly, use or blue Tack to hold the card mount.

4. Macro Away

WOW. This is some powerful macro. Enjoy.

Need to use your laptop in your car? Don't purchase a pricey laptop stand for the passenger seat or shell out for a dashboard mount. With some creative DIY-action you can turn your cup holder into a laptop stand.

Mike Davis needed a way to use his laptop in his truck and have a nice stationary platform to put it on. Unfortunately commercial models ran upwards of $300. After scoping out the cab of his truck and doing some brainstorming he realized he could build his own stand and use the center console cup holder as a base.

With $30 worth of parts—mostly PVC pipes, fittings, and a sheet of plywood—and a single afternoon of work he had a laptop stand for his truck that holds his laptop so well it doesn't budge even when swinging the truck around corners.

Once Google Reader added manual controls to its new 'Send To' menu, you knew some delicious URL tweaks would follow. Some already have, including a 'Save as PDF' trick from the Digital Inspiration blog.

If you want to save a Reader feed item as a PDF, email a full blog post to somebody when you only see a partial item, or work more intelligently with social services, Amit Agarwal has your hook-up. Head to Settings in Reader, click the 'Send To' tab, then hit 'Create Custom Link' at the bottom. You'll be asked for a Send To link name, a URL with replacement codes, and an icon location. The link below has all three of those for its tweaks, including one that creatively uses the previously mentioned PDF Online converter.
